Photography Program
You are an artist, a storyteller, and a record keeper. You see the world from a different perspective, finding beauty in images and light. Photography is your passion and it is what drives your creativity.
The Art Center's curriculum fosters this creativity by engaging students in traditional and historical practices, as well as teaching contemporary approaches to the medium. Students begin with a foundation in traditional skills including composition, design, and black and white film developing. As students progress through the program, coursework expands to hands-on experience with digital imaging, computer editing software and alternative processes.
Graduates of The Art Center Design College Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photography will have the education, training, and skills to acquire entry-level employment as portrait or studio photographers, commercial/advertising photographers, scientific photographers, news photographers or photojournalists and fine arts photographers.
