Animation Program
Creativity, imagination, storytelling, drawing, design, filmmaking and directing merge together to create one fascinating career: Animation. Successful animators must be able to think outside the realm of gravity, to push the envelope on what is considered normal and committed to meet the demands and changes of a dynamic and expanding industry.
The Art Center's Bachelor of Arts in Animation program provides a comprehensive study into the mechanics and applications of animation. You begin with foundation courses in design, illustration and computers and expand to editing pictures and sound, production techniques, 2D and 3D animation and modeling. The completion of your portfolio and animation reel is the final step in preparing you for your job search. At a minimum, you will be eligible to obtain entry-level employment as a storyboard artist, production artist/animator, computer animator, web designer/animator and a 2D or 3D animator.
